New BIM library for ceramic floor and wall tiles
A BIM library for ceramic floor and wall tiles is now available on the website for direct download, developed to support professionals during the design, quantity take-off and technical specification phases.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is currently playing an increasingly important role in architecture and construction. In this context, it enables visual and technical information to be integrated into a single digital model, supporting decision-making throughout the design process.
Benefits for professionals
The available BIM objects allow ceramic solutions to be evaluated and validated throughout project development, ensuring consistency between the digital model, specification and on-site application. Using the BIM library offers practical advantages such as:
- Project time optimisation by eliminating the need for manual product modelling;
- Automatic quantification of areas and quantities, facilitating cost estimation and reducing waste;
- Direct access to relevant technical information within the model, such as format, finish, slip resistance, water absorption and PEI classification;
- Improved coordination between architecture, engineering and construction, supporting the preparation of technical specifications;
- Early validation of aesthetic and functional choices, reducing changes during construction.
Technical specifications
The files were developed in Revit and are provided with IFC compatibility, allowing integration into different BIM workflows and software used by professionals in the sector. The objects have a Level of Development (LOD) 300, suitable for the design and specification phases. This means they include sufficient information for quantity take-offs, cost estimates and interdisciplinary coordination.
Each object integrates detailed technical data, visual representation with textures and parametrised material properties. Relevant information is therefore available directly within the working environment.
Access and additional resources
The BIM library was developed for professional use, with organised and optimised files ready for immediate integration into real projects. Access is free upon professional registration.
In addition, the library is continuously expanding, in line with new product launches and user needs.
